Here’s the experience of a fellow reader after Wednesday’s email.
Chris was having the same dream for the last
4 days now.

The dream first occurred the day he practiced
Manipur Chakra pranayam and meditation.
(Manipur Chakra is the sanskrit name for the Solar-Plexus Chakra)

In the dream, Chris was standing backstage
in an auditorium.

There was a huge gathering of fans and followers in
the audience.

And someone very influential and charismatic was
at the podium, talking to the crowd.

He seemed to have the undivided attention of the
crowd and it felt as if his words were inspiring
the audience in front of him.

Chris couldn’t make out who that person was since he
was standing behind him and instead of a person
he just saw a blurred silhouette.

The only thing familiar was the persons voice.

One thing though, everyday his dream remained the same
but the persons image became more and more clear.
On the 7th day, Chris was surprised…

The image in his dream was crystal clear that day…

It was Chris himself.
He was seeing himself, in his dream, commanding and
leading a gathering of hundreds.
When he had practiced the pranayam and meditation,
various stress blocks and emotional fears related to his
Manipur Chakra had cleared off.

And, now with regular practice, his energy was active in
the Manipur Chakra.

His dream was just a way of his subconscious assuring
him that he was on the right path.

Chris had found me through my book, “Mudras
for Awakening Chakras” and then had stayed in touch.
I had shared with him the pranayam and meditation techniques,
when I was compiling the Chakra Awakening Program.

His Manipur Chakra awakening experiences were amazing.
Earlier he had self-esteem issues and he used to
question his own decisions a lot.

When in difficult circumstance, he used to feel powerless
and extremely anxious.
But now, he felt very self-confident and spoke what
was on his mind with clarity and fearlessly.

His family, friends and colleagues now relied and
believed in him, thus feeding his confidence even more.
And above all, Chris himself now felt that he had
the charisma and power to make the world around him
a better place.
This is the reason why, the Solar-Plexus Chakra is
also called THE POWER CHAKRA.
Do you know what other thing the Solar-plexus Chakra influences?

Instincts…
Think about it.

Why do you think great leaders always make the right decisions.
(or is it that, right decisions ‘make’ great leaders)

They always seem to follow their instincts.

That’s why our instincts are called our ‘Gut’ Feeling.

Physical effects of Solar-Plexus Chakra Imbalance and Weakness:

If your Solar-Plexus Chakra is closed, weak or out of balance, its physical effects usually manifest as digestive disorders, metabolic system disorders (which results into obesity) & anger management issues.

Many studies have shown, digestive disorders and obesity in America costs the society around $190 Billion per year, while an individual suffering from obesity needs medicines that cost upward of $250 per month, whereas other complications arising from obesity cost thousands of dollars in indirect expenses.

Anger management disorders adversely affect every aspect of our lives, at the same time costing the affected individual upward of
$300 per session in treatments.
Let’s get down to the Solar-Plexus Chakra exercises:

Locating the Solar-Plexus Chakra-

– Your Navel is the location of your Solar-Plexus Chakra. (Manipur Chakra)
Exercise #1
Waist Twist

sit in Sukhasana.
Hold your shoulders with your hands (as shown in the image)

Your fingers should be in front while thumb at the back of the shoulder blade.
See to it that your hands are parallel to the ground.

Take a deep breath and turn to your left as much as you comfortably can. Stay in this position for 3-4 seconds.

Then return to the initial, facing forward position.

Exhale, and then without inhaling turn to your right. Stay in this position for 3-4 seconds.

Return to your initial facing forward position.

Keep repeating the movements for the next 4-5 minutes.
Exercise #2
Manipur Chakra Mudra

Sit down in Sukhasan.
Be seated comfortably in an upright posture and concentrate on your breathing to relax.
Place your palms adjacent to each other, facing down.
Now slide your right Index finger over your left Index finger, then under the left Middle finger and then rest it over the left Ring finger. (I know it sounds very confusing, please refer the adjoining images for more clarity.)
Now curl in your left Middle finger, pressing the down the right Index finger.
The next step is to curl in the right middle finger so that it presses down the left Index finger, but see to it that the tip of the left Index finger is over the right Ring finger. (refer the image)
Now join the tips of both the Ring and Little fingers together and press slightly.
Then join the tips of both the Thumbs together and press slightly.
Hold the Mudra in front of your solar plexus for the next 10-12 mins.
(For greater effects you can also perform these exercises in the evening and tomorrow morning.)
Using these exercises, we’ve stimulated your Solar-Plexus Chakra.

Now observe yourself how you approach and react to various situations and how you deal with people around you.

What I would personally suggest is, throughout today and tomorrow listen to your gut instincts whenever you have to choose and make a decision, and see how well it turns out for you.

Here’s a fun info; for my in-person clients, I tell them to pick scratch-cards from a nearby thrift store. The prizes usually are small plastic toys or candies, but many people call me back
and tell me that they had won something or the other. 🙂

Also, I had a client who is a day-trader by profession, dealing in futures & derivatives. He had many years of experience under his belt. He had a wealth of knowledge, but when it came to exiting positions
he got indulged into too much critical thinking. Once he learnt to rely on his gut instincts, it made all the difference.
